Position Overview

Everclear Water Systems is seeking an experienced Cooling Tower / Evaporative Condenser Service Technician to join our field service team in the Las Vegas area.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience servicing commercial and industrial cooling towers and evaporative condensers , along with a strong understanding of mechanical equipment, water treatment, preventive maintenance, and equipment troubleshooting.

This position is responsible for servicing customer cooling-water systems, performing scheduled preventive maintenance, identifying equipment and water-quality issues, completing repairs, and providing professional service to our customers.

The successful candidate will be comfortable working independently in the field and interacting directly with commercial and industrial customers.

Essential Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on commercial cooling towers and evaporative condensers.
• Inspect cooling tower and condenser equipment for proper operation and potential problems.
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of cooling tower basins, strainers, screens, fill, spray nozzles, drift eliminators, and water distribution systems.
• Inspect pumps, valves, piping, make-up water systems, blowdown systems, and associated components.
• Test and monitor cooling-water chemistry and identify conditions such as scale, corrosion, biological growth, and fouling.
• Perform water-treatment services in accordance with Everclear procedures and customer-specific treatment programs.
• Collect water samples and document water chemistry results.
• Troubleshoot cooling tower and evaporative condenser operating problems.
• Identify equipment deficiencies and recommend corrective action or repairs.
• Perform minor mechanical repairs and component replacement when qualified.
• Assist with tower cleaning, descaling, disinfection, and other specialty service projects.
• Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, water-treatment logs, and customer documentation.
• Communicate equipment conditions and recommend repairs to customers and Everclear management.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and inventory.
• Follow all Everclear safety policies and customer-specific safety requirements.
• Follow OSHA, lockout/tagout, PPE, chemical-handling, and other applicable safety procedures.
• Maintain a professional appearance and positive relationship with customers.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Previous experience working on commercial cooling towers and/or evaporative condensers.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Working knowledge of pumps, motors, valves, piping, fans, gearboxes, bearings, and water distribution systems.
• Basic understanding of cooling-water chemistry and water treatment.
• Ability to identify scale, corrosion, biological growth, fouling, and other water-quality issues.
• Ability to use hand tools and power tools safely.
• Ability to read and understand equipment manuals and basic mechanical diagrams.
• Ability to work independently and manage a daily service schedule.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Dependable vehicle
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to travel throughout the Las Vegas area and surrounding communities.

Preferred Experience

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in:

• Commercial cooling tower service
• Evaporative condenser service
• Industrial water treatment
• Cooling-water chemistry
• Preventive maintenance programs
• Commercial HVAC
• Industrial refrigeration
• Pump and motor troubleshooting
• Mechanical equipment repair
• Electrical troubleshooting
• ReCold, Marley, BAC or other major cooling tower equipment
• Field-service/customer-service environments

Safety & Working Conditions

This position requires working in commercial and industrial environments, including rooftops, mechanical rooms, equipment yards, and cooling tower areas.

Technicians may be required to:

• Work outdoors in the Las Vegas heat.
• Work at elevated heights and from ladders, lifts, or platforms.
• Work around rotating mechanical equipment.
• Work around water-treatment chemicals.
• Work in wet and confined mechanical areas.
• Lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials.
• Bend, kneel, climb, stand, and walk for extended periods.
• Wear required PPE.
• Follow chemical-handling and safety procedures.

Customer Service Expectations

Everclear technicians are often the face of the company at the customer location . The successful candidate must be professional, dependable, courteous, and able to communicate equipment conditions and recommendations clearly.

Technicians are expected to:

• Communicate professionally with customer personnel.
• Keep customer areas clean and orderly.
• Complete service documentation accurately.
• Identify opportunities to prevent equipment failures.
• Clearly communicate recommended repairs and maintenance needs.
• Build long-term relationships with customers.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is a hands-on mechanical technician who understands cooling towers and evaporative condensers and takes pride in doing the job correctly .

We are looking for someone who can recognize when equipment is operating normally, identify developing problems, understand the relationship between mechanical condition and water chemistry, and communicate those findings to both the customer and Everclear management.

A strong candidate will be dependable, safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, comfortable working independently, and committed to providing excellent customer service.

Compensation

Compensation: $50.00– $60.00 per location visit. (42 locations, 2 visits per month) Plus fuel and vehicle maintenance allowance.
